More dancers

This painting is on a wall in the Jausak palace, Samarra, Iraq. Done in the year 836-9, it is a very early example. Their hair is in four braids and wear a close cap. They are dancing with a scarf around their arms. This is the same as some later pictures that are around. The large rectangular veil known today is a 18th century invention. Almost nothing can be found on the above picture and I can’t find anything out about the palace in Iraq. If anyone reading this has more information please comment!
