Persian jewelry


Seljuk bracelet from 11th century Iran. 2&1/2in (6.4cm) diameter. Woven gold wire, pinned clasp and round bezel with quatrefoil inlaid with niello. Sold by Christies for £9,750.

11th century onward Iranian filigree. Earring 1&1/4in (3.2cm) diameter (4) top right. Sold by Christies for £1,500.

One bezel set with a banded agate, engraved kufic inscription Musa Ibn Ahmad. 2cm high. The other similar ring is bezel set with engraved carnelian, also 2cm high. One cast gold ring 2.5cm high. Finally a sliver ring with inscribed carnelian, also 2.5cm high. Sold by Christies for £1,875.
